4 Subtle Reasons You Feel Stuck

Hebrews 3: 15 “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts”

Do you feel frustrated because you’ve been doing a million things but feel like you’re not really growing? Or maybe you’ve been overthinking that one decision? If I asked you what your vision for yourself is in the next year, would you know what to say?

Everybody gets stuck. Here are 4 subtle reasons why:

1. You don’t know your priorities.

Sometimes it’s because we’ve clouded our lives with way too many “priorities” which could actually be distractions that hinder us from moving forward.

2. You say yes to everyone.

Or we lack boundaries because it’s easier to say yes and not let anyone down.

3. You’re insisting on doing it your way.

Maybe it could be the opposite of saying yes—you keep saying no because you think your way is best, when it’s really just a dead end.

4. You’re rebelling against God.

Perhaps you know where you should go, but you simply refuse to move because it’s inconvenient and uncomfortable.

LISTEN

You don’t have to change course right away, but if you’re stuck, I encourage you to just pause for a second, take a step back, and reassess where you are in the map of your life. Before you beat yourself up, perhaps you are really meant to be where you are, but things changed, you’ve grown, and it’s time to move into a new season. Celebrate the journey so far!

Before you take another step:

☑️ Listen. Be still, and seek God’s voice.

☑️ Read His word.

☑️ Pray.

☑️ Seek counsel from godly people.

☑️ When you begin, take it slow.

Most people wanna run aimlessly just to avoid getting stuck, but a lot of times God wants us to pause so that He could speak to us.

Will you listen?

Let God In

Speaking of listening to God, my song called Let You In is all about the life-changing discovery of surrendering to God. You can listen to it here.
