When Grateful Isn’t Enough
In this insight vlog, I take you out with me to the mall with my friend Nina, and share some significant learnings from our conversation together.
We realized that we’ve been carrying a lot of unnecessary guilt more often that we’d like. And in our talk we tried to think about what could be causing that problem. In a word, it’s this: unbelief.
Here are some of the main points from the video:
Gratitude may not be enough to keep us motivated to obey God.
Though it’s good to be grateful, I don’t want to obey Him merely because He’s done something for me.
Faith in future grace will enable us to obey God cheerfully.
Without faith, it is impossible to please God.
God desires to rescue us from guilt over non-essential matters.
