Never Steal His Glory
God asked me, “Are you gonna steal it?” I said, “Steal what, Abba?” And He said, “My glory.” I took a moment to think about how important that question was and felt embarrassed by how I don’t ask myself that question more often. I replied, “Of course not, Abba. How could I? Who even am I?”
I felt Him keep His gaze at me, the kind that is full of love but seriously concerned. “Good,” He said. Then I felt His eyes look deep into mine. My heart melted over the fact that He was that concerned, but it also makes me feel uneasy how focused He is on me. When He saw how I averted my gaze, I felt Him grip both my shoulders so firmly, my whole soul felt so anchored to the center of the universe. It would be impossible for a human not to pay attention.
“Listen to me,” He began with a hushed tone so that I knew it was for me. He spoke so earnestly, maybe even desperately, like pleading for His daughter’s life. “Don’t you EVER steal My glory.”
I couldn’t breathe. I couldn’t move. I felt so loved, but at the same time so afraid. But it was a holy fear—a reverent fear. He wasn’t saying this in a threatening way. He said it because He could not bear to see me die.
God’s Work in 2021
Even I’m in awe of God’s work. I’m just a girl who makes music in her bedroom. These numbers were God’s thing. Darla can’t really understand how many people is 196,000 but she’s pretty sure that many people can fit in God’s left nostril alone haha. She admits she’s still learning to receive praise in true humility. Nevertheless, she is thankful for the people using Spotify and beyond who are served with her music and choose to receive it, and even more so share it. All praise, praise, praise to the Most High!
Please don’t compare yourself to anyone, and not to me. It doesn’t do anything.

We are vessels made to be occupied by one thing only. We can deny self and choose Christ, or deny Christ and choose self. It will always be one or the other.
